One more to go!

Only one more episode of this season to go. I do not want it to come. What will I do with my Tuesday nights before Glee returns for season 2?

Well this last episode, Funk, was interesting. A few of our favorite characters ending up in some sticky situations. Puck and Finn almost getting expelled from school, Mrs. Schuester getting the hots for a particular someone a little too young for her, and Mr. Schuester pretending to have the hots for his arch nemesis. That's what I call funky.

This episode was unfortunately, not one of the better ones. The best scene was definitely Puck, Finn and Mercedes performance. Other than that, the show was almost awkward and uncomfortable to watch. Some of the "funks" the characters were put in threw off even the audience.

Hoping for a phenomenal season finale!

Dreams coming alive in Glee!

Again, I must apologize for not writing on the last two weeks. Especially since they were both so fantastic!

"Laryngitis" was absolutely wonderful especially with Rachel and Finn. Finn's cover of "Jessie's Girl" was clever and adorable! Leaving all the gleeks ready for some more Rachel/Finn love!

But it doesn't exactly compare to last week's "Dream On" episode. Neil Patrick Harris was hilarious and perfect for the role he was cast! And I might be a little biased in saying that the episode is one of the best yet because Artie is my favorite character! It was a thrill to get to see him dance!!! I love any episode with that features Artie!! I wish they would give him more solos!! His voice is so smooth and beautiful, anyone would be a fool not to adore him!

Another exciting twist to the plot involved the wonderful return of Idina Menzel! I've been waiting to find out why she gave that sly look to Jesse St. James in the first episode back! I think we've all been waiting to also hear her sing! And we got it in "Dream On"!

Cannot wait to see how the twist turns New Directions around!

Reputations

Fellow Gleeks, I apologize for not posting about Glee's episode, "Home." Honestly, after seeing the Madonna episode I did not know how to respond to the next that didn't quite stand up against the Madonna episode.

Bringing April Rhodes (Kristin Chenoweth) back was a bit of drama, yes. And she does have the most incredible voice, so I appreciate Glee for allowing us to hear her amazing voice yet again. However, I'm afraid to say that they brought her back too soon. We are still in the process of the first season. And most of her story was the same as her previous episode where she is searching to find where she belongs and Will helps her along the way. Again with the "You're right, Will."

The beauty of the episode came with Mercedes and her wonderful confidence in herself. Although Christina Aguilera's "Beautiful" is a song more often made fun of than not, Mercedes and the Cherrios gave it brilliant meaning.

When it comes to Will and his love life, as the past episode, "Bad Reputation" focused on heavily, I think we need to cut the guy some slack! He married his very first girlfriend. I believe he is in shock of how to handle women wanting him, because when he was married, he remained faithful to his crazy wife.

However, explaining himself to Emma would probably be a smart decision seeing as she thinks worse than what is true. Emma thinks he is something he is not and said that they need to start seeing each other for who they truly are. The sad part is, Will is who she thinks he is, she's just not giving him the chance to explain... he is newly single and is not quite ready to jump into another serious "let's get married" relationship.

But Will is not the only one with a "bad rep" in this episode, oh no... Sue Sylvester gets a little taste of the humiliation in this episode when her jazzercise routine to "Let's Get Physical" is leaked onto youtube. But again, surprise, surprise, Sue lands on top. Olivia Newton-John gives her a call and together they redeem themselves from that song with an all-new video featuring Sue Sylvester!

While Will and Sue create there bad reputations from their actions, a few of the kids in the glee club decide they too need bad reputations to be noticed in school. When a "Glist" is leaked naming the top ten most scandalous students in the school, the students are not offended for being on the list, rather offended for not being placed in the top three or not on the list at all.

Artie, Mercedes, Kurt, Brittany, and Tina decide to take drastic measures and stage an uproar in the library! The group "gets their glee on in the stacks" with the ever-so-popular and ever-so-terrible "Can't Touch This." Their attempt fails, however, when the school librarian asks them to perform for her Sunday church service.

But one glee club member does succeed in ruining more than her reputation. Rachel decides to make a music video to the song "Run, Joey, Run" featuring Puck as the leading man, Jesse St. James as the leading man and Finn as the leading man. But each leading man, thinks they are the only leading man. When the video premieres for the class, Puck, Jesse, and Finn are furious. Not only is Rachel's reputation ruined by the making of the film, but she also ruined her relationships. Jesse St. James breaks up with her because she "broke his heart" and he can no longer trust her.

The episode comes to a close with Rachel singing "Total Eclipse of the Heart" with Jesse, Puck, and Finn.

But my heart does not linger as Jesse walks out the door leaving Rachel in the room alone, no. My heart breaks as Finn leaves the room before the song is over... before anyone else as gotten up to go. Poor, Finn.

Rachel and Finn forever! Too bad she messed up... Hopefully she can save her reputation and relationship with Finn soon! Tune in for the new episode, "Laryngitis," tomorrow!!

Madonna

"Do you know what it feels like for a girl
Do you know what it feels like in this world
What it feels like for a girl?" -Madonna

Madonna is about the empowerment of women. So was Glee on Tuesday. While the all the guys in the episode were treating the girls with a lack of respect, Mr. Schuester looked to the Cheerios for advice on how to get his Glee girls to walk proudly. What did he find? Madonna.

While the girls began working on their Madonna numbers, the guys sulked with the idea of singing Madonna's songs, with the exception of Kurt.

Kurt and Mercedes take it upon themselves to use their resources. "Mercedes is black, I'm gay. We make culture." With the decision to re-invent the music video, they turn to Sue Sylvester to play their leading lady. But it turns out in the end that they did not change Sue, but she changed them. As "4 Minutes" begins playing by the school's marching band for the Cheerios' new routine, it is Kurt and Mercedes who come dancing and singing out in Cheerios' uniforms.

But Kurt and Mercedes are not the only one's to step out of their skins and try something new. "Like a Virgin" takes on a whole new meaning when it comes to Emma, Rachel and Finn. Three couples: Emma and Will, Rachel and Jesse, Finn and Santana sing together in their own separate three bedrooms with the sexy theme of "Like a Virgin" making the audience wonder who of the three couples will, in fact, lose their virginity.

Unfortunately, to the heartbreak of many gleeks out there, it was Finn and only Finn who ended up going through with it. Emma was not ready to give herself completely to Will, and instead he decided they should wait to date until his newly filed divorce is complete. Rachel, too, was not ready and actually blamed it on the Glee club saying that having sex with Jesse St. James from Vocal Adrenaline would be like "sleeping with the enemy." In turn, what does Jesse St. James do to prove to Rachel his love and loyalty? He enrolls in McKinley High and joins the Glee club!

Finn does not seem too pleased by this new development, however, he does save face by shaking Jesse's hand and promising to do his best to stay away from "his girl."

As this season continues to heat up, next episode's "Home" brings back a familiar face, Kristin Chenoweth, or as gleeks remember her as April. Let's hope this does not spark yet another love interest for Will Schuester who already has enough women chasing him! Don't miss the new episode to find out!

Glee is Back in Action!

The new television phenomenon, Glee, returned to fox to complete their first season Tuesday, April 13th.
The show began with a slushie in the face. Literally. While these misfit teenagers come together to sing and dance and win competitions, the rest of McKinley High is waiting to bring them down with humiliation. Rachel Berry, played by Broadway star, Lea Michele, is the "child star," as the cast of glee calls her. She is merely a sophomore and runs the glee club with pride. She and co-star, Finn Hudson, played by Cory Monteith, are part of one of the show's love-triangles.
But this second half of the first season came at the audience with a few surprises: Since the break-up between Finn and his pregnant girlfriend, Quinn, Rachel has decided to couple up with Finn, with or without his consent. While Finn is still hung up on Quinn, Rachel becomes heartbroken and reaches out to another. A new cast member enters the stage! Jesse St. James, played by Jonathan Groff, becomes Rachel's new love interest, but the issue is, he is the lead vocalist in the McKinley High glee club's competitor, Vocal Adrenaline.
Will Jesse St. James use Rachel to beat New Directions (McKinley's glee club)? It sure seems like it to the rest of the glee club, especially Will Schuester, New Directions' coach and teacher, played by former Broadway star, Matthew Morrison.
Will travels to visit Vocal Adrenaline to meet and speak with their coach about their potential problem at hand. Shelby Corcoran, played by none other than Idina Menzel, joins in the cast as yet another love triangle for Mr. Scheuster.
Another surprise for gleeks out there was the ever-favorite, Sue Sylvester, played by Jane Lynch, returning to reclaim her role as the coach of McKinley's cheerleading squad, the Cheerios.
Sue and Will's hate for each other brings glee to gleek hearts around the world as Sue pokes fun at Will's curly, overly-gelled hair and spends her free time brainstorming ways to bring down New Directions.
But Glee is not all about the drama of teens or crazy teachers and coaches. Oh no, glee is about the music! This past episode was dedicated to the word "Hello." Naturally, New Directions performed "Hello, Goodbye" by the Beatles.
But the most surprising and fantastic part of the hour was a look at next week's theme. Madonna's "Vogue" performed by... wait for it... SUE SYLVESTER.
